FATHER MARTINDALE.
“WELL AND FREE.”. LONDON, Dec. 24. ,The Vatican radio states that Father Martindale, who was pi Denmark when it was invaded by the Nazis, is well and free, and is continuing his activities.. The Gernian Gestapo has arrestfri Rev. Dr. Grueber, who is famous fcfr’ his efforts on behalf of non-Aryan Christians, and has interned him in the same camp with Rev. Martin Niemoller, the former U-boat commander who became a pastor of the Evangelical Church and lc/der of the League of Opposition Clergy which organised the campaign against Reich-fSishop Muller. Martin Niemoller is understood to be in the Saclisenhausen Concentration Camp. He was arrested in 1937.
