SAVING COCKSFOOT SEED.

WAR SERVICE AUXILIARY,

The appeal recently made by Mr R. B. Tennent, Director of the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, to save cocksfoot seed, has found enthusiastic support from the executive of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary. The necessary preliminary organising in connection with this project is almost completed, and in Wellington a considerable quantity of cocksfoot seed, which might otherwise be lost, will be harvested by members of the auxiliary.

Mr Tennent expressed his thanks to the enthusiasts in Wellington who are organising and carrying out' this valuable project, and said their efforts would be a worthwhile aid in assisting production at this time. The matter, which has the full support of the Department of Agriculture, is commended to all members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary and any others who may be able to assist.
