BUILDING PERMITS
GOVERNMENT CONTROL. FAR-REACHING PROPOSAL. Per Press Association. MASTERTON, Nov. 19. . It is understood regulations are being framed to regulate building of all kinds throughout Now Zealand. The proposed regulations provide for all applications for the erection of buildings at an estimated cost exceeding £2OOO, or lor the erection of structures which will require half a toil of reinforced steel or more, to be submitted by the local bodies receiving the applications to the Building Controller. No permit is to be issued by a local body unless the permission of the Building Controller is granted. Further, it is proposed that a return is to be furnished on the first ofeach month by every local body in New; Zealand setting out the details of all building permits granted in the preceding month.
