AIRMEN DECORATED
NEW ZEALANDERS HONOURED. (Rec. 8.5 a.m.) LONDON. Oct. 25. Flying-Officer B. J. G. Carbury, of Wellington, has been awarded a bar to the D.F.C. and Pilot-Officer H. Hodgson, of Dunedin, the D.F.C.
Pilot-Officer Hodgson is a nephew of Mr J. E. Hodgson, a well-known returned soldier family at Whakarongo, An account of the airman's adventures during the last days of the B.E.F. in France, before the evacuation, was published in the "Manawatu Standard." recently. At that time he had to bale out of his machine and after joining a band of refugees gradually made his way to the French coast and eventually managed to reach England.
