Selwood will ride Gladynev in tho Moonee Valley Cup and Tidal Wave in the Melbourne Cup. High Caste’s scratching in the Cox Plate has caused surprise, but his trainer says the horse is all right. His absence is duo to the fact that liis connections have formed the opinion tho horse may not be suited to the track. There is some talk of Ajax missing the race. A decision will be made following a consultation between tho owners to-morrow.
