MOTORIST KILLED.
AT WELL-KNOWN CROSSING
Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct.. 2. Mr James Hurren, a traveller for an Auckland firm, was killed When the motor-car he was driving crashed into the centre of a New Plymouth-bound railcar at Smart Road crossing, near New- Plymouth, to-day. Mr Hurren, a married man _ot middle age, received severe head injuries and died ' almost instantly.
