POTATOES IN SYDNEY.
SYDNEY, Oct. 2. With Ihe arrival of only 5600 sacks of whiteskin potatoes from New Zealand today, prices for that variety were advanced from £lO to £l3 10s per ton. Dakota Reds, of which 11,700 bags were received, were fixed at £l2. The demand for New Zealand potatoes is expected to be very keen owing to the marked shortage in Tasmanian shipments.
