Han-dicap-reductions are: K. Ferguseon. 19 from 20: L. Fcrgusson, 24 from 25; and H. Jones, 25 from 26. With the ■ aid of four fire extinguishers and a very willing bucket brigade a lucky savo was effected when a fire broke out in a building almost adjoining the. residence of Mr W. H. Harris. A shortage of water near at hand did not improve matters, but willing helpers raided surrounding tanks and wells and eventually got the fire under control. Although the building was badly gutted there was, fortunately, little loss of material.
