REASSURING REVELATIONS

(Rec. 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 27. Mr Paul Patterson, the publisher ot the Baltimore Sun, who has arrived at Honolulu after a tour of the bar East and the Antipodes, said he had found the Dutch Indies fully prepared to meet anv Japanese threat.- He believed the Dutch Air Force was more than a match lor the Japanese. He added that the Dutch are building a great defence system throughout the islands. The United States should utilise Britain’s Pacific bases, particularly Singapore. - , Other members of the party revealed that the seas around the Indies are heavily mined, and that vast military preparations are proceeding.
