FURTHER INACCURACIES
Received September 5, 11.60 a.m. BERLIN, Sept. 4. An official communique issued here states: “We yesterday again bombed aerodromes in the South of England and effectively plastered hangars and buildings, causing several fires. Air battles again developed, these resulting most favourably for Germany. Bombers last night caused extensive fires at harbours, armament factories, and aerodromes, including Liverpool, Avonmouth, Bristol, Portland, Poole, Rochester and Middlesbrough. “British planes flew over Germany last night and attempted to attack Berlin, over which only one plane penetrated. No bombg were dropped on the capital. Bombs fell elsewhere causing no substantial damage. The enemy yesterday lost 62 planes and 10 of ours are missing. _ ' “A U-boat in one expedition sank six armed merchantmen totalling 51.607 tons.”
