GREATER PRODUCTION.

BUNNYTHORPES RESPONSE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) 13UNN YTHORPE, Aug. 26. In a report prepared by the secretary of the Bunnythorpo Primary Production Committee (Air A. J. Galpin) it is outlined that tho district over which the activities of the 15 committeemen for that urea extends is of about 4000 acres. The number of farms visited was 76, and , the following increases for the coming season are notified :—Cows to bo milked, 234 (expected increase of 54,0001 bof butterfat). Sheep, 1700 bead (expected increase of 1003 carcases of meat and 10,20011) of wool). Poultry, 197 heads. Pigs, 12 sows (a lower number oil account of the fact that most of tho dairying is carried on under the wholemilk supply basis). Top-dressing, the following fertilisers are to bo used, these not being all in tho way of increased tonnages: 686 tons of superphosphate, 24 tons of bamc slag and 313 tons of lime. Calves, 37 head of calves to bo kept over and nbovc herd replacements. EXPANSION 'IN SANDON AREA. At the recent meeting of the SandonOhakoa Primary Production Council tho secretary (Air S. L. Orrl announced that Iho following increases in production natl been promised in the recent canvass of lh° district:—Run 'cattle, 265; sheep, 4470; cows, 141; heifers, 10; calves. 25; bullocks, 15; porkers, 43 ; baconers, 208; sows, 34; poultry, 89; barley, 181 acres; peas, 17 acres - ; wheat, 110 acres; oats, 23 ncro3; grass seed. 225 acres; root crops, 141 acres. Mr B. E. Kcillcr said that the returns indicatod that tho farmers in this district wero going to do their utmost to assist in the cause. Mr Keillor also remarked that a wonderful response liQd been received from each district and in most caset* tney had filled tho quota asked for, # In tho report of the recent meeting Air Keillor was quoted as having said money could have been made available to farmers at 4|j per cent. This should have been 4a per cent.
