PATRIOTIC COUNCILS.
SECRETARIES’ CONFERENCE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. The secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board announces that it 'has been decided to hold a conference of secretaries of 11 provincial patriotic councils in Wellington on September i2. Lord Galway will be present at tile opening of the conference, which will discuss the question of a Dominion campaign for provincial funds and general matters of interest to provincial councils.
