PRAYERS AT MEETING.

WELLINGTON, Aug. 21. Mr W. V. Dyer, who has been the chairman of the Wellington Education Board for the past six years, was today elected for .a further term of two years. The board decided to open its meetings with prayer, this being put into operation at once, the chairman leading the board and staff in the Lord’s Prayer. Colonel McDonald gave notice of motion that schools open with the Lord’s Prayer each morning, subject to the approval of the committee concerned.
