JAPANESE POLICY.

NETHERLANDS INDIES. Received August 21, 11.5 a.m. TOKIO, Aug. 20. After Cabinet talks Ministers indicated that the Japanese Government was near an important decision regarding the southward policy, particularly regarding the Netherlands East Indies. After the regular meeting Mr Matsuoka (Foreign Minister), General Tojo (War Minister) and Vice-Admiral Yoshida (Navy Minister) discussed the problem after which Mr Matsuoka reported thereon to the Premier (Prince Konoye), who then proceeded to the Throne.
