PALMERSTON NORTH’S POSITION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 20. In the New Zealand secondary schools hockey championship points scored to date are:— Section A.—Gisborne High, 6 ; Auckland Grammar A, 5; Palmerston North High, 5; Hamilton Technical, 2; Seddon Memorial Technical, 0; Wellington Technical, 0; *■. r Section B. Stratford .Technical High, 6; Mt.' Albert Grammar, 4; Wellington College, 4; Howick District High, 4; Auckland Grammar B, 0; Wairarapa College, 0. Third round results:— 'S' Section A.—Auckland Grammar A 17 v. Seddon Memorial Technical 0; Gisborne High 10 v. Hamilton Technical 3; Palmerston North High 3 v. Wellington Technical 1. Section B.—Stratford Technical High 5 v. Wairarapa College 3; Mt. Albert Grammar 3 v. Auckland Grammar B 2; Wellington College 2v. Howick 0. Tho match between the Palmerston North Boys’ High School and Auckland Grammar School was a fast one, play transferring from one end of the field to the other very quickly. In the second spell the Palmerston North team were on the attack for the greater part of the time and goals were scored by Waters and N. Anderson. Anderson’s goal came from a brilliant dash down the side-line by Mummery, who centred to him. Grammar scored the equalising goal on time. After having the territorial advantage for the greater part of the game High School beat Wellington Technical School by 3 goals to 1. Goals were scored by N. Anderson, Kyle, and Waters.
