MANAW AT U LADIES’ CLUB. Members of the Mauawatu Ladies’ Gmf Club yesterday played an L.G.U. silver and bronze medal competition with a points competition in conjunction. The best scores were: Eilver Medal.-—Miss 1. Rutledge, 95 —18 —77; Mrs E. R. Witnsett, 92—13 —79; Miss P. Macdonald, 94—15—79; Mias N. SmiJlie, 87—6—81; xUrs R. J,. Harding, 94—13—81; Mrs H. C. Collinson, 96—15—81. Rronze Medal.—Mrs E. J. Wills, 105—24—81; Miss D. Haggitt, 110— 26—84; Mrs C. S. Williams, 120—36 84; Mrs F. Scott, 118—33—85; Mrs Hertert Lawry, 110 —24--86. The. above players qualified for the points competition.
C Grade (over 14 holes). —Mrs A. Rutledge, 90—36—54; Mrs J. Major, 88—32—56; Miss -B. Thomson, 94—36 —SB ; Miss A. Cope, 89—30—59. A foursome will Ire-played next-week, players to choose their own partners and opponents. Members will be in charge of the patriotic shop next week. PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. The A and B members of the Palmerston North Ladies’ Golf Club played a bisque bogey competition and the C grade an eclectic competition yesterday, the best cards being: — A grade.—Mrs B.
