Y.W.C.A.
Members of the Palmerston North Y.W.C.A. basketball teams travelled to Wellington to participate in the annual match, against the Younger Business Girls’ Club of Wellington Y.W.C.A., on Saturday last. The match was played at the Mt. Cook School courts and resulted in a win for Wellington, 21 —17. In the evening the Wellington girls entertained their visitors at the homo of Mrs Carter (president of the Younger Business Girls’ Club). A very enjoyable time was spent in singing, competitions and n short discussion on the organisation and programme of the clubs. Girls from the various teams expressed their appreciation for the hospitality shown them during their stay.
