(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Aug. 19. The heating apparatus at the Otaki State School, which . for some time past has been considered totally inadequate by the committee, was recently inspected by members of tho .Education Board, and it is understood that their opinion coincides with that of the committee, Mr Malcolm, who has been on the staff of the Otaki State' School for nearly three years, was entertained recently and made the recipient of a clock from the staff and children. At the gathering at the school were Dr Francis, chairman of the School Committee, other members, stafl and children.
