STOCK SALE.

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on tho Woodvillo sale: A further large yarding, comprising 660 head of station cattle, was submitted and wo report quite a satisfactory sale throughout, with a good average clearance at auction, values in the main not being quite as good as they were at the cattle fair ,a lOrtniglit ago. One outstanding feature of this sale was a specially advertised line of yearling Jersey heifers of high quality from ilawke’s liay, which met with particularly keen competition, finally finishing up at; the good price of £6 10s per head. A good offering of station-bred beef also met with a sound sale throughout at values equal to those ruling at other centres during the last few weeks. A small yarding of sheep, comprised principally of fats, also met with keen competition at values fully firm on those ruling at other recent sales. Quotations • Fat ewes, 30s, 32s 6d to 34s 9d; fat wethers, 35*. 36s 6d, to 375; fat hoggets, 23s 6d, 24s 6d, to 265. Fat cattle: Prime heavy bullocks, £l*4 to £l4 ss; fat P.A cows, £7 15s, £B, £8 10s to £9-15s; fat cows ex dairy, £6, £6 10$, to £7 15s; run ners £5, £5 10s to £6; vealers, £2 10s, £2 15a, tc £3 ss. Store cattle: 2-yr. P.A. 6teors, £6, £6 7s 6d, to £6 169; empty P.A. cows, £5, £5 ss; P.A. cqws r.>., P.A. bull, £5 17s 6d, £6, to £6 7s 6d; ylg.
