HOMES IN CANADA. Received August 14, 11.30 a.m. OTTAAVA, Aug. 13. The formation is announced of a National Advisory Committee to assist in placing English children. The movement of such children may assume considerable importance in the near future. Over 20,000 homes have already been offered while, if necessary, Ottawa alone is capable of receiving 50,000. At present it is proposed that the children become wards of the Crown before leaving England. Hitherto 4000 children have arrived in Canada, mostly privately arranged.
