CLOUDY; SCATTERED RAIN. Pet- Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. Barometers are rising in the south in the rear of a, low pressure trough which is crossing the Dominion. The forecast is for moderate to fresh north-westerly to westerly winds, probably changing by to-morrow to south-westerly. The weather will be cloudy with some scattered rain; temperatures becoming cooler; seas rather rough. RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —sft. Gin.
