AWAIIURI COMPANY'S REPORT. Record. production for the Awahuri Dairy . Company was reached last season according to the report of the chairman of the directors (Mr N. Campbell) to be presented to the annual meeting of shareholders. The report states: “The amount of butter made during the year was 105 tons more than last year, being over 1425 tons as compared with 1320 tons for the previous year. This, although due in tho main to the favourable season, especially the latter part of it, can be considered a cause for congratulation as it represents a record for tho company, being £2 tons more than 1934, the previous record year.” Continuing, tho report states:-—“lt i« pleasing to be able to report once again that the grade of our butter is still high, the average grade for the year being 94.460, and it is gratifying to be able to record once again that Reel Rose is still one of the highest graded butters in tho Dominion. The amount of butter manuj factured during the year was 1425 tons ■ 3 cwt. Iqr 19 lb. The average advance ! paid to all suppliers on all grades of cream . during the season was 13.9514 H per lb. | butterfat. A further pay-out of 2.7 d per | lb. butterfat is being made on August 20, | making a total net average of 16.6814 d per lb. A dividend on the paid-up capital is provided for in the appropriation account,. There will bo three vacancies' to be filled on the board of directors at the annual meeting; one owing to the resignation nf Mr Lyons, ' and the other two owing to the retirement in ordinary course of Mr E. (J. Bond, and -Mr J. A. Russell, who arc both eligible for reelection. The retiring auditors, Messrs Dempsy and Litchfield, again offer their services. During the year the company suffered a severe loss in the death of our i late secretary, Mi C. D Frasei. He had | been secretary of the company for 15 years, I years, and had . always proved most cfhI and had ahvays proved most efficient, reliable and capable, the steady progress j made by llie company during that time ; being due in some degree, at least, to in'* I efficient and tactful handling of his important post.
