Three teams of the Carnarvon Bing Pong Club journeyed to Awahuri to play members • there. The results wore as follow, Awahuri players ' being mentioned first:— A teams: Murray Christian beat S. liodgc, 11. Maxwell, lost to F. Connelly, H. Knight, W. Maxwell, If. Watkins, M. Christian beat Connolly, Knight, Hodge and H. Maxwell, lost to Watkins, W. Maxwell; D. Christian beat Knight, W. A. Maxwell. Hodge, Watkins lost to Connelly; 11. Simeon beat Connelly, Knight, Hodge, Watkins, W. and H. Maxwell; A/ Goodman beat Knight, Hodge, W. and 11. Maxwell, lost to Connelly and Watkins; K. Matthews beat Knight, Hodge, W. and 11. MacCallum presided over a meeting of the Awahuri patriotic entertainment committee. Arrangements were made to farewell those leaving the district with the Third Echelon. The secretary is to advertise the function as soon as the date is decided.
