FOXTON.
An enjoyable gathering took place when visitors frein All Saints’ and St. Peter’s j Churches. Palmerston North, and from iTokomarn. visited Foxlon to attend the i fourth birthday party of the Foxton i branch of llie Methe-s’ Union. A service was held in Ail Saints’ Church, the preacher being Rev. Air Davies, of Levin, and. at the conclusion all present adjourned to the schoolroom where a social time j wns spent Rev. G. B, Stote-Blandy presided. Items were contributed bv members of tlm All Saints’ Mothers’ Union and bv Mrs Bigham. a’so of Palmerston North. A humorous nlay-rcading was arranged Lv Mrs D. R. Barron, there taking part being M.csdarros Barron. L. J. Chittenden and iV. 11. Hofmann. The candles on the birthday cake wore lit by the enrolling tnem- . hers for All Saints’ branch of the union. Palmerston North, and were extinguished by feur small children. The cake was cut by tho enrolling member for the Foxton branch of flip union, Mrs Stote-Blandy.
