AUSTRALIAN FLAX.
Tn responso to a request from the British Government to grow linen flax fibre this year, seed sufficient, to plant on land already prepared in Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania is being supplied by the British Government and will arrive in time to allow of late planting. In Western Austral in, 4000 acres will he sown and in each of the other two States 8000 acres.
