The Dominion Auctioneering Co.. Ltd., report a further increase in the price of pigs at their weekly sale held on Thursday, best weaners selling up to 30s 6d each; heavy porkers from £2 15s to £3 11s. and medium porkers .£2 6s 6d to £2 9s. There was an exceptionally keen demand for poultry, a large yarding being disposed of at prices in the vendors’ favour; W.L. hens realised to 4s 5d each : black hens to 5s 6d, and breeding cockerels to 13s 6d each. Produce was in heavy supply and last week’s values were well maintained. They quote as follows: —Pigs: Best weaners, 26s to 30s 6d each: medium, 21s to 25s each; small, 19s to 20s; slips, 30s to 355; heavy stores, 37s to 40s; light stores. 34s to 365; heavy porkers, £2 15s, £2 17s lid to £3 11s: medium, £2 6s 6d, £2 9s to £2 13s 6d. Poultry: Best W.L. hens. 4s to 5s each: heavy 8.0. hens. 5s to 5s 9d each: light hens, 3s 6d to 4s each; heavy cockerels, 5s to 6s each; ' medium cockerels, 4s to 4s 9d each; breeding cockerels, 7s to 13s 6d each; young ducks, 4s Id to 5s each; eld ducks, 3s to 4s each: turkey gobblers, 17s each; turkey hens. 7s 6d to 9s each; day old cockerels, Is 5d to 3s 9d per box. Produce: Cauliflowers, 6s to 10s 3d per sack; cabbages. Savoy, 7s to 7s 3d per sack: Drumhead, 6s 6d to 7s 6d per sack; lettuce. 3s 6d to 7s 3d per case; leeks. Is 6d to 3s 9d per case: spinach, 5s 6d to 9s 3d per case; celery, 12s to 19s 3d per case; 1 carrots, 2s to 3s per sugar bag; parsnips. 2s to 3s per sugar hag; pumpkins, 7s to 8s per sack; marrows. 3s to 5s per sack: silver beet, 4d to 4id per bunch; beetroot, 2s 6d t& 3s 9d per case; rhubarb. 12s to 14s per dozen: onions, 8s to 10s 3d per bag; potatoes. 5s to 6s per cwt. Produce Distributors, Ltd,, report the following prices for this week according to quality and grade.
