FINE AND COOL. Per Press Associaion. WELLINGTON, Aug. 2. An anti-cyclone centred to the southeast covers most of the Dominion, and the Tasman Sea. The forecast is for moderate to fresh but gradually decreasing southerly to easterly winds. The weather will be fine in the west with some further drizzle in the east and south, but conditions later improving; temperatures cool; seas moderate to rather rough, but gradually, decreasing. RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —2ft. bin.
