ULTIMATUM RUMOUR. AXIS DEMANDS? (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received August 2, 1.55 p.m. LONDQN, Aug. 2. There is no confirmation in London of New York reports that the Axis Powers have sent an ultimatum to Turkey to choose an alliance with Britain or the Axis. At Istanbul it is officially denied that troops have been moved to the Russian frontier.
