WOMEN’S HOCKEY.

Two practice games, were played at the Takaro Park on Saturday and players showed good promise. Broadway beat Feilding by 2 goals to 1, Miss L. Taylor and Mrs L. Griffen scoring for Broadway and Miss Eades netting for Feilding. The umpires were Messrs V. Turner and D. Wilton. In the second game High School Old Girls beat United by 3 goals to 1. Miss Flemming scored all the winning team’s goals and Miss Wilton for United.-Mr V. Turner was the umpire. It is hoped to begin the Manawatu Women's Hockey Association’s competitions next Saturday.
