ENEMY IMPEDED. If.A.I'VS WORRYING ROLE. Received May 30, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, May 29. Jt is officially stated that Hurricane and Defiant machines to-night shot down at least 22 German ’planes in a battle over Dunkirk. There were no British losses. . In a hangar at the-R.A.F. Bomber Command station in East Anglia, the King decorated five officers, two sergeant observers and an aircraftsman air gunner for gallantry in action against the enemy. A British Official Wireless- report says the Air Ministry announces: “The R.A.F.. continues to give all the supSoivt- in its power . to Allied Armies in lorth-East France and Belgium'. Railways, roads, bridges, and enemy, troops have been continuously attacked yesterday, last night, and to-day by medium and heavy bombers. The enemy’s advance has been considerably harassed and impeded bv these attacks. One of our bombers has failed to return. Our fighters have . been in offensive patrols over the French, coast throughout the day. All our aircraft have returned.
