FARMER SOLDIERS

PUBLIC TRUST FACILITIES. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 29. The Attorney-General (Hon. H. G. 11. Mason) to-day drew attention to the Facilities which can be afforded by the Public Trustee in appropriate causes to farmers whose offers of service with the Forces overseas are accepted by the authorities. The Minister pointed out that the Public Trust Office could offer special advantages in this class of work by reason of its Dominionwide organisation and competent representation throughout New Zealand, enabling those with whom it had to deal to keep in close touch with a responsible representative of the department. \ He added that the Public Trustee was specially equipped to supervise the management of farm properties owing to the very large number of rural properties administered by him. In the various classes of estates experienced farm inspectors were employed as permanent officers of the department and were able to advise on the most suitable methods of farming, purchase of stock, and disposal*of farm proceeds. The keeping of an accurate account of the conduct of farming operations was a matter of first importance, and an accounting staff skilled in this type of work was employed. When acting as the agent for members of the naval, military or air. forces the Public Trustee made a special reduction ot his charges.' Any person who desired to obtain further information should consult the nearest i District Public Trustee or district manager of the Public Trust Office.
