Danes in Britain. Replying to a question in the House of Commons the L ndpr-Secretary of the Home Office stated it was not proposed to treat Danes resident in Britain as enemy aliens. Many of them wore anxious, lie added, to assist Britain in the struggle against aggression and tyranny of which Denmark had been made a victim. At the same time lull precautionary measures were being taken in respect of any individual who whether possessing Danish or other nationality, was believed to be in sympathy with or likely to assist the enemy. Compulsory Savings. The Canadian Government announces that all civil servants employed since the war are subject to compulsory savings of 5 per cent, of their salaries to' bo returned in peace time with the object of cushioning post-war readjustments. Bradford Market. On the Bradford market spinners are keener to obtain new orders for yarns, but it is difficult to get supplies, except for the export trade. Yarn prices are unchanged and firm. The export trade in tops is fairly well maintained. mainly in Merino sorts. The Wool Control prices for crossbred tops for export have been advanced.
