OROUA CROQUET CLUB
CLOSING DAY. The closing day function of the Oroua Ladies’ Croquet Club was held on AVcdnesday, there being a good attendance of members. The weather was fine and various competitions were held. Tho A grade championship, A’ankec tournament was won by Mrs R. Hill, while the runner-up was Mrs J. Petrie. The A grade doubles championship honours went to Mesdames Mill and Kerr. In the B grade championship singles Mrs Knight won, with Mrs Fla veil as runner-up. Mesdames Flavell and Ford were successful in the B grade championship doubles, while in the handicap doubles the prizes went to Mesdames Bridge and Hoffmeistcr. A Yankee tournament for B grade players was won by Mrs Flavell, while Airs Hill was the winner of the handicap singles. Tho weekly competitions were won by Mesdames Manning (A grade) and Knight (B grade).
