Rev. G. B. Stofc Bla tidy presided at the annual meeting of the parishioners of Yen. Bede’s Anglican Church, Shannon. Ihe balance-sheet, read bv 'Mr J. The vicar regretted that he was unable to present a report on account only having been in the parish two weeks, ilc appealed for support for the Sunday School. He had noticed that the church grounds were not kept as well as they' might ho. They should be belter kept than one's own home grounds or at least as well. He hoped very shortly to have a “working bee” to effect improvements. Mr Plainly asked Mr A. Semple to continue to be vicar’s warden and other office holders wore elected as follow: —People’s warden, Mr Cronquest. on behalf of the parslnoner.s, 1). Murray, C. M. Cronqucsl, .T. Bowler, G. Munford. J Ilallam, A. Semple, B. J. Braun, 11. Kastou, F. Chester, J. T. Bovis and O. Graham. Mr J. T. Bovis was appointed lion, auditor. Subsequently Mr Cronqucst ,on behalf of the parishioners, extended a welcome to Mr and Mrs Blandy and trusted that their term would be very happy. Other speakers were Mr Semple and Mrs D. Jenkins.
