PAPATAWA.

A pantry evening was tendered Miss Ua Rivers, of Papatawa, recently, by the members of the Papatawa Basketball Club, at the residence of Mrs C. W. Cunningham. Games, competitions and singing occupied the evening, the winners of the competitions being Mrs TV. Burlace. Miss M. Busst and Miss I. Rivers. The. guest of honour was the recipient of a beautiful fruit dish presented by Mrs Cunningham on behalf of the basketball players, a.nd a bouquet presented by Miss Phylis Goldor, also on behalf of the team. On behalf of the guests, Miss Mavis Goldsworthy thanked (Mrs Cunningham for allowing the function to be held at her home.
