MUNIFICENT GIFT.
(British Official Wireless.). Received April 23, 9.40 a.m. RUGBY, April 22. Mr Charles Brotherton, chairman of the well-known Yorkshire chemical manufacturing firm, has given £250,000 to help welfare work in towns and cities in the north and the Midlands. A trust yielding £IO,OOO annually will be formed for welfare schemes in the cities and towns Avhere the firm lias branches.
