SWIM TO SHORE.

BATTLE IN SNOWSTORM. (From Da veil try.) Vivid stories of the battle in which H.M.S. Hardy was engaged were related in the return of some of the personnel to London. When the destroyer ran aground, and after the death of Captain Warburton Lee and several of the personnel, the survivors jumped into the sea as the ship capsized and swam 200 yards to the shore, subsequently walking filteen miles to a village. The battle was fought on Aprd R> in a blinding snowstorm after the Fleet Air Arm had the previous day made successful attacks on two German dcstroyers in Narvik Fiord. When the men arrived at Easton Station yesterday they were met by cheering thousands, who continued to greet them cn route to the Horse Guards’ Parade.
