After a hearing occupying six days, the Compensation Court at Blenheim made an award of £11,992 in favour of G. H. M. Fairhall, for land taken for the Woodbourne Flying Training School. Fairbanks claim against the Minister of Public Works totalled £22.134. The Crown- offered £6OOO in full 'settlement. The Court allowed claimant £7OO interest in addition to the amount of the award. Costs against the Crotvn totalled £425, including assessors’ fees £125 each.
