BRITISH MUSIC SOCIETY.

The opening concert of the 1940 season of the British Music Society will be given on Saturday next, April 6. hy Mr Peter Cooper, who is the holder of a Royal Academy scholarship to enable hjm to continue his studies abroad. Prior to his departure to England, he is touring New Zealand and this opportunity of presenting the brilliant young pianist to Palmerston North music-lovers is welcomed by the British Music Society. Assisting Mr Cooper, willbo the well-known soprano. Mrs Olive Seoular. from Wanganui, who will he heard in a delightful selection of songs. The concert will be open to the general public.
