BASKETBALL.
DOAIINION TOURNAAIENT. A record number of entries has been received for the Dominion basketball tournament to he held in Wellington, commencing to-day and continuing on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. There will bo 22 teams participating. The Manawatu Association will be represented by Misses J. Clevely.. B. Gee, N. Terry, S. Young. ,J. Barrio, E. Skinner. O. Sinclair, P. Raisin. R. Leask. Z. Terry, N. Siddells and L. Robertson. The team left yesterday for AVellington, and was accompanied by Miss C. Vautier as manager. A team from the Palmerston North Girls’ High School, under Aliss J. Galvin, left on AVednesdav to take part in the secondary schools tournament, sponsored by the New Zealand Basketball Association, to be held on Saturday. There arc 13 teams entered in this tournament, the Girls’ High c chool representatives being Diana Dawson, Hazel Gill, Jane Alaoken. .June Davies, Sheila Coombs, Nancy Esau, "Hazel Christensen, Alargaret Beattie, Betty Hill ; reserves Barbara Smith, Patricia Clegg, Nancy Randall.
