COALMINERS’ STRIKE
SYDNEY, March 21. With reference to the coalminers’ strike, the Prime Minister (Mr R. G. Menzies) emphasised that the Government would not tolerate a policy' enabling the industrial unions to get what they could from the Arbitration Court and resorting to direct action for the balance. He hoped the coalminers would see the error of their action, especially in critical times like the present, and insist oil bringing about industrial peace.
