KILLED. AIISS NANCY O’SULLIVAN, aged 20, Nile Street. Nelson; killed instantaneously. - head injuries. INJURED. John Sutherland. Howard, aged 22, South Street, Nelson; severe head injuries, compound fracture of leg: condition serious. Aliss Smith, of Nelson; injuries to shoulder; admitted to hospital. Aliss Sadie Howard, minor injuries. James O’Brien, of Aunesbrook, minor injuries. The car was returning to Nelson from the country, driven by Alan Brake, of Nelson. The side of the car struck a telegraph post, which snapped in two places. The vehicle went through a hedge, struck a tree and returned to the road, where it turned over on its side, wrecked. VAN DRIVER KILLED. VEHICLE LEAVES ROAD. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN. Alareh 23. Archibald William Thomson, aged 21, of Invercargill, whose parents live in Dunedin, was killed late last night when a motor-van he was driving left the road between Pembroke and Cromwell. He was accompanied by James Louis Olds, who. it is stated, was teaching him to drive at the time of the accident. Air Olds is in hospital suffering from shock.
