PRICE OF NEWSPRINT.

INCREASE IN BRITAIN. LONDON, March 21. The price of newsprint is to be increased by 30s a ton from April 1. There will be a further increase of 70s in July, making the price then £25, compared with £ll 10s on the outbreak of war. This means that newspapers generally will raise advertisement rates. Some advocate an all-round increase of 10 per cent. Another suggestion is to raise the price of a penny paper to three-halfpence.
