The Woodville District Jockey Club’s autumn race meeting resulted in a considerable loss., attributable in the stewards’ opinion entirely to the weather. Any profit wao to have been devoted to tHe patriotic fundi*. The stewards at their last meeting considered ways and means and decided to donate '-25 to the Fighting Services Wei lure Appeal Fund, and to lend £250 to tHe Government free of interest for the duration of the war and >ix months thereafter.
