NEW EXPLOSIVE.
DEMONSTRATION IN U.S.A. WASHINGTON. March IS. Congressional naval and military committees have agreed to a demonstration of the Barlow explosive. Mr Grater Barlow, a specialist in aerial bombs, testifying before the Senate Military Affairs Committee, said that Hitler’s “secret weapon” is probably an airmine filled with liquid oxygen and some form of carbon, stated a Washington message on March 14. The Germans, ho i said, experimented with it at the siege of ! Barcelona in the Spanish war. It had not I been used since because, though it had 1 destructive effects, it was highly dangerous to carry in an aeroplane. Mr Barlow desimilar bomb which lie wanted to demonstrate to the Government, claiming that it. was vastly superior to the German weapon.
