FORCED LANDING.

BOMBER AT OHAKEA STATION.' When the engine of a Baffin bomber aeroplane developed trouble before the machine had reached any appreciable height after taking off from the Ohakea Training Station of the New Zealand Royal Air Force, yesterday afternoon, a forced landing was made in a paddock about a quarter of a mile away from the aerodrome. The three occupants (a pilot and two mechanics) of the aeroplane were not injured. Considering the uneven ground to he covered, the fire engine and ambulance stationed at the aerodrome made a remarkably fast trip to the point where the machine landed. The machine narrowly missed a fence and the undercarriage struck a bank, this swinging the machine right round. The ’plane was nob extensively damaged;
