FAMILIAR GAMBIT.
NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY. LONDON, March 19. The Vatican officially denies that the peace plan was revealed from a Vatican source. The British <j'overnment officially denies knowledge of the plan and says that it has not been presented to it by Mr Welles or anybody else. Such a plan has never been taken very seriously in London, according to a diplomatic correspondent. He says the 11 points arc the kind of points which might be expected from the Nazis, including references to the restoration of peace and sops to several; Powers. Beyond that they would give the Nazis ail they want in EurojX! and in no way right the wrongs Germany has done to her neighbours.
