PALMERSTON CLUB. During the week-end the Palmerston Cricket Club senior team played the junior team, the latter side, however, having the services of T. D. Pritchard. The juniors in innings compiled 131 (Pritchard 55, R. Ormond 38 not out, Otter 12, Rodgers 11; Robertson 5 for 11). The seniors replied with 47 (Brougham 13. Pegden 12, Robertson 11; Pritchard 5 for 16). In their second innings the juniors made 178 runs (Kells 51, Pritchard 39. Childs 17, Madgwick and Otter 16 each, H. Ormond Pollitt 3 for 28, Robertson 2 for 45). The seniors’ second innings realised 79 (Pollitt 29, Brougham 16, Cutler 13, Pcgden 11; Pritchard 4 for 29, R. Ormond 2 for 3).
