FEILDING BOWLING CLUB.

The Feilding Bowling Club held its annual gala day on Saturday when the weather was fine but dull and a strong breeze was blowing. A rinks tournament was arranged and visitors from the Terrace End, Palmerston North and Oroua Clubs took part. Various stalls were conducted by the ladies.

Before declaring the function open the president (Mr T. Burne) referred to the passing of Mr E. P. Mason, who had been one of the foundation members of the club. Mr Mason had until recently taken a keen interest in bowling and all regretted his passing. As a mark of respect members stood in silence.

Tlie fours taking part in the tournament were as follow : —Andrews, Snell, Wills, P. Childs (skip), Terrace End; Young, McLean, Ellis, Anderson (skip), Terrace End; J. Child, L. Thorburn, C. L. Mowlem, R. Ramsay (skip), Palmerston North; Collier, Shorter, McAvoy, Nottle (skip), Oroua; F. G. Jones, N. Ingham, G. Watt, Rosanoski (skip); T. Tricklebank, S. McDowall, T. Burne, White (skip); .1. Gibson, Simson, Lane, Mcore (skip); F. Jarrett, R. R. F. Jones, C. Hayward, March (skip); Say well, McColl, Tingey, Davidson (skip); Edwards, Wilton, Rosoman, Dummer (skip), all of Feilding.
