PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. There was a good attendance at the Palmerston North Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club’s sports meeting which was held at the Sportsground on Monday evening in ideal weather conditions. In the cycling events all races were keenly contested. L. Hazelwood performed credibly throughout. Several unsuccessful attempts were made on the lap record, the best time registered being that of R. Loader, who is the present holder of the record. In the tabloid events Public Service won narrowly from Glaxo. Results were: Ilalf-mile cycle race. —L. Hazelwood 1. 11. Donovan 2, G.
